I understand the people who diss Twitter.  Really, I do.  The signal-to-noise ratio can be abysmally low at times.  But there are some real shining stars participating in the Twitter community, who deliver nuggets of insight for the hungry Twitter masses every day.

The following offer a mix of interesting news articles, pertinent content from all corners of the web, as well as their own insights.  If you haven’t found a reason to try Twitter yet, see if any of these people can convince you to make the leap.

  • @InterviewCoach – Lewis Lin applies his business education and experience interviewing for Microsoft and Google to helping people prepare for interviews.
  • @midlifetrip – Karen Batchelor is an attorney-turned-coach with a focus on helping midlife women achieve career transition.  Her enthusiasm is infectious.
  • @careerealism – The Careerealism website produces great content for those in or considering job transition.  On Twitter, you’ll find the Twitter Advice Project (T.A.P.) where career experts give instant Twitter answers to career questions.
  • @DanThomas_ – Dan lists himself as a “Marketing Professional,” but his tweets are a mix of business news, career tidbits and his own personal commentary.
  • @heatherhuhman – Heather’s carved herself a distinct niche: she targets much of her content to entry-level, often specifically PR, tweeps.  But despite her focus, her content is applicable to a wide range of fields and experience levels.  Follow her to get daily links to her column.
  • @nametagscott – Scott Ginsberg wears a nametag 24/7, and has built a career on it by trumpeting the value of approachability.  His tweets are also the source of some serious introspection.  Let the pondering begin.
