Putting passion into your everyday: Create a project

by Kristi on June 30

there's a beautiful mess insideBrief note for those who are interested…  I’ve collected links to all of the various resources that you can access for your job search on the Services page.  There you can find info on the newsletter, teleseminars, and more.

The best way to succeed at work is to do more of what you love.  But what if you don’t love your job?

Do you like anything about your job?

What’s your favorite thing?

Or…  what about your job do you just know you could do better if someone let you?

One way to do more of what you love is to create yourself a project that you’re passionate about.

Some ideas for you:

  • Something that would make your job easier.
  • Something that would make other peoples’ jobs easier.
  • Something that would make your boss more effective.
  • Something that would make the company a better place to work.

Try brainstorming all the things that drive you crazy about your job, the things that drive other people crazy, the things that people around the water cooler wish for.  Then, think about whether your skills and interests can help address any of these needs.

Consider creating a project for yourself that will add value to your workplace plus interest to your day.

What can you contribute today — to your workplace, and your own development?
